Abstract

Leadership is recognized as playing a critical role in business strategy in organizations because of its central position in shaping the behaviour of the human element throughout the process. This theoretical paper examines the relationship between business strategy and leadership, and identifies a symbiotic and mutually-supporting relationship particularly between it and Transformational leadership. It therefore recommends Transformational leadership style as being most appropriate for managers saddled with the task of strategy making and implementation.
